California Day 2- Our campsite

With Sunday being the day of rest, we didn't do much on our second day of vacation other than go to a really cool ward in Carlsbad. In all the wards I've visited, this was the first time someone has come up to us and asked if we were new or just visiting. After we introduced ourselves, he realized that we had the same last name as someone in his family tree, so he really wanted to go over our genealogy. We didn't ever get a chance to do that, but it was a great ward anyway. After church, we just hung around our campsite. We actually camped on the beach in Carlsbad. It was a beautiful view, and I loved waking up to the sound of the ocean every morning.

None of us could figure out what this bug was because it was flying too fast. The camera could actually take a picture fast enough for us to discover that it's a moth. Cool moth.

Okay, these pictures weren't taken on Sunday. They were actually Monday morning, but I'll have enough other pictures for Monday that I'll add these in today. Monday morning, Brian was looking at the ocean and wondering why a whole bunch of seagulls were floating in one area. It turns out a few dolphins were fishing out there. You'll probably have to enlarge the pictures to see the dolphins at all, but what a fun sight to wake up to.The view of the shoreline from our campground.
