Oops

One of the best things about being the resident advisors for our apartments, is that we get to meet people from all around the world. I love the diversity at the University of Utah. However, with this diversity comes some potential to make cross-cutural mistakes, like forgetting to take shoes off outside or door. Well, last night was our chili night court party. We had a good turn-out. People visited and hung around for a while. The chili was good, and we had enough of it. The makings of a wonderful party, right? Until I was doing the dishes later and realized that chili has beef in it. One of the families that showed up is Hindu. Hindu's don't eat beef. I just fed a Hindu family beef. Oops. I think I'll end up being re-incarnated as a snake in my next life for that one.

Hey don't worry about it! You didn't do it on purpose and saying that they don't eat meat is like saying that LDS people don't drink coffee or smoke ... we are not supposed to but some do anyway. I think God understands ;)
