Well, here's the final pictures from our trip to D.C. I've only been back a couple days and I'm already missing it. On Wednesday we spent the morning waiting to see the Declaration of Independence before my meetings started. That evening we went on a Monuments by Moonlight Tour with my conference. The tour was great, and our tour guide was really entertaining.
Here's a picture of the Rotunda where the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights are stored.

The Declaration of Independence. The document is so faded that all you can really make out is a bit at the first and John Hancock's signature. The rest of the page is just faded writing.

The Constitution was taken care of much better and you can actually see the writing on it. I'm so glad I got a chance to see these documents in person.

We stopped at the White House one last time, but the other side. This view is actually closer to the White House, but it's not as popular. I think it's because it's not the view from Pennsylvania Avenue.

The pictures on the Korean War memorial were actually pictures that returned soldiers submitted of themselves. The pictures were etched onto the wall. So many of the soldiers looked so young.

More of the Korean War Memorial. These statues depict the soldiers wading through the rice paddys.

The Lincoln Monument is so awe-inspiring. I'm really glad we got a chance to come here. Unfortunately we went at a busy time. It was hard to really feel the power of the monument with so many school groups running around. This is one monument you need to go to at night though.

My favorite war memorial was the Vietnam Memorial. The simple design was the idea of an Asian-American architecture student. She designed the monument to be simple and just to honor the soldiers.

World War II Memorial. Every star represents 100 American soldiers that died in the war. It was sobering to imaging how many soldiers died.

We walked up the steps of congress at night. The Senate was still in session, so it was still really lit up.

While I was in meetings, Brian went to Arlington Cemetery. I really wish I could have gone gone with.

Aren't those statues so big, I remember the feeling I had at Arlington cemetary, it really makes you appreciate all we have. I love all those shots at night. Gotta head back there one day too!
