Baby Shower- My Side

Last Saturday was my baby shower on my side of the family.  Wow, words cannot even begin to express my gratitude to everyone for such a wonderful event.  Stephanie opened her home to the whole party, she even got my brother to slave over a hot stove all day with her making yummy soups.  Heather made some amazing cupcakes and mini pies, Makinzee made some more yummy desserts, my mom brought her amazing cheese ball plus all sorts of sides, my grandma made a yummy relish tray.  And I'm sure there was so much work that I'm completely forgetting to mention here.  My mom even roped her friend into helping out.

**Here's the yummy dessert spread

And then all the wonderful guests who came.  It was great to see them all.  Several of my close cousins came, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law, my grandma my mom's church friend, and even a high school friend that I haven't seen in ages, (and of course my wonderful family that threw the shower).  What a treat to see all of them.  That was the best gift ever.  We did miss my Linzy and Tabatha there.  Unfortunately coming from Maryland for a baby shower just isn't all that feasible.  We can't wait to see them next summer though.

**Cousins Erin and Jaimie

**Heather and my Mom

And all the sweet gifts.  Everyone was too generous.  Thank you all so much!!!!

**This is the cuddliest receiving blanket ever made from my Brian's mom and sister.

**Thanks Heather for the bouncer, Linzy and Tabatha for the tub, Mom and Leslie for the scrapbook and pre-made pages, and Steph for the cute outfit.

**Sweater from my grandma

**Bobby, my old high school friend made a diaper wallet to go in the diaper bag, and filled it with those cute jeans diapers and some wipes

**Evidence of everyones generosity.

All the adult women in my family, minus Linzy.  Darn that living across the country.

It looks like you had a wonderful time. You seem to have a great group of women in your life. It's lovely to see photos of the young girls through to your grandma!
Look after yourself and your bump. So excited to hear when the baby arrives!

It was so fun. Just one correction - the cheese ball was also Stephanie's. It was yummy, wasn't it? All I could do was throw money and roll up my arm sleeves, which I was ever so happy to do. We love you and Brian and love the baby! Can't wait, for the next seven weeks are going to feel like an eternity in spite of all the busy things.
