Thursday night, I got to see Wicked with my little sister. I hope Heather had as much fun as I did, because I had a blast. Heather came up for dinner at my place before the show. I made a vegetarian Mexican lasagna from scratch, and it was pretty good if I do say so myself. When we got to the theatre, we were pleased to find that our seats were front row, so close we could kick the orchestra pit (thanks for the great seats mom and dad). From the first note, we could tell the show was going to be awesome. I've seen it before in LA, and Heather has seen it in Chicago and New York. The leads in this cast were just as good or better, and the supporting roles were much better than the LA cast. Elphaba was phenomenal, she has a wonderful range and really played the part of an awkward girl who just wants to be accepted. Glinda was a spaz.....striking crazy poses constantly, but it fit her character well. Even better, both actresses really did a good job at letting you see the internal struggles and thought processes of the character. Another great thing about seeing the show here, the audience was silent the whole time. Not a peep during the big songs. When I went to LA, the people behind us talked through EVERY song. Then, during intermission, I completely biffed it walking out to the lobby. Go figure, if there is anything but a perfectly flat surface, I'll fall on it. After the show, Heather and I got a couple autographs... from the wizard and madam morbill (sp?), and Brian, Heather, and I ran to Hire's for shakes.
Showing off our close seats!!!!
Just showing, once again, how close we were.

Aw!! I definitely had fun! I'm still sad it's over. I love you, Tonya! :D
That sounds like so much fun! I'm glad you had a good time and I'm jealous of your lasagna :)You do have a great husband.
I am SOOOOOO jealous. I have wanted to see Wicked for years and when I heard it was coming to Utah I signed up that day for an Artix account so I could be notified the second tickets would be on sale. Sadly they were all sold out instantly. I am glad you had a good time and extremely jealous
This was so WORTH it!!!!! So glad you both had a great night, and thank you Brian for being such a wonderful husband!
Yea! I just went today and saw it! But my seats were like on the opposite end of the theater from yours...we were definitely in the nose bleeds! But what an amazing show eh?
