Brian and I in front of Dead Horse Point. So, the reason this point got it's name is that the point made a perfect place to corral the wild horses. They would run them all in there and shut the gate until every one came and got the horses they wanted. Once they were done picking out the horses, they would open the gate and let the rest go free. One year someone forgot to open the gate, and when they came back all the horses were dead. A bunch had jumped the cliff to try to get to water below. It's really a sad story. I don't think they used the area to corral horses again after that.

Our first day in Moab we decided to do a little off-roading with Brian's family. This was a trail we'd never done before. It was a little more technical than our usual trails, but it was tons of fun.

The colors are so beautiful, we missed seeing you while we were in town but it looks like your hobby is quite addicting. How fun!
