Dying Eggs

This Easter we dyed eggs for the first time in our family.   It's so great to finally have someone to do all the classic holiday traditions with.   Eric taught us quite a bit about dying eggs.
"See mom, you have to pour the vinegar into the cups like this"

"See what I made Dad"

"Put the egg in this color"

"Now you stir the eggs in the dye Mom"
"Here, I'll man these two colors while you take care of that one, K"

"Okay, I'll stop for one picture"
All done

Eric also taught us that throwing hard boiled eggs on the floor is super fun and that when you are done with one color you dump it out on the table, mommy's lap, and the floor.

How fun! Yeah I didn't realize how stressful egg dying could be ... that is if you didn't want the dye all over the floor or the eggs to explode when your child gives them a death grip ;)

Miss dying eggs with little ones. Having him do it shirtless was a bright idea. He looks like he was having a blast!

It looks like you had some good messy fun! We found little plastic shrink wrap covers to slide over our eggs and then dip them in hot water to "shrink" the plastic around the egg. It made the eggs so pretty and not so messy. But then we don't have all the fun memories of cleaning up like you do!!!
